What kind of music will I hear?

Great music! All kidding aside, we are proud of our music program here at Horizon. We do a blended service that leans more on the traditional side.  There is plenty of congregational singing (only if you want to!) as well as our choir. On a pretty regular basis, we add in others like our handbells, children's BLAST group, or many of our other talented musicians.

What about my kids?

Children are incredibly important to us here at Horizon. If they are nursery age (generally 2 or 3 & under) we have a staffed nursery. We have security tag protocols in place, and if you are needed during worship, we have a way to get in touch with you. For older kids and youth, we have Bible study classes, their own time during the worship service, and an age appropriate lesson during the sermon in children's church.

What kind of message will I hear?

Our Pastor generally follows the Revised Common Lectionary which sets the rhythm of the church year. He strives to bring the word in a way that is applicable,  thought provoking, challenging, and encouraging each week.

Are you Southern Baptist?

No. We are Cooperative Baptist, a denomi-network of Baptist churches committed to traditional Baptist principles. You can learn more about them at cbf.net and learn about our state level partner CBF of Georgia at cbfga.org

What do I wear?

Whatever you want! We have no dress code. You will find people dressed from jeans and a t-shirt (shorts in the summer!) to the full suit and tie, and everything in between. Feel free to dress in whatever makes you comfortable!
