Local

  • Backpack Mission for Hungry Children: working to provide weekend meals for students at Leroy Massey Elementary School.
  • Feed the Hungry: A food distribution ministry. We volunteer to assist in this distribution as well as  providing financial assistance to this cause.
  • Good Samaritans: Ministers to those in need, particularly the elderly, disabled, or single parents.They provide services such as yard work, household repairs, building handicap ramps, securing needed furniture, etc.
  • Habitat for Humanity: Providing funding and labor for safe, affordable housing in Chattooga County in partnership with Coosa Valley Habitat for Humanity.
  • Literacy Council: Horizon Baptist Fellowship partners with the Chattooga County Literacy Council by sponsoring a team in their annual spelling bee.
  • Local Benevolence: Offers assistance to those in need of food, clothing, transportation, paying bills, etc.
  • North Georgia Cruisers: This program provides Christmas gifts to needy children in Chattooga County.  Members of our congregation make donations and participate in shopping for the gifts.
  • Pilgrim Ministries: A Christian ministry for men with drug and alcohol addictions.  HBF provides monetary support and local referrals to his program.
  • Pregnancy Resource Center: A ministry in our community that assist young pregnant women in crisis. Each spring, we have a dedicated fund drive for this cause.

  • Cooperative Baptist Fellowship: Our global partner for missions around the world.
  • Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Georgia: Our state partner for in-state missions. 
  • The Ruth School: A school in Romania for educating girls and women.
